Koo, Founder of CTBC Financial Holding Co., Ltd., the Asian Bankers Association (ABA) has been the premier platform for Asian banks to network with each other, promote regional financial integration and cooperation, and advocate bankers’ interest regionally and internationally.

  • Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conference

    April 22, 2024

    On the occasion of Earth Day 2024, the Royal Government of Bhutan is hosting the Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conference under the patronage of Her Majesty The Queen, Jetsun Pema Wangchuck. The Conference will launch an ambition to mobilize US $1 billion in new funding over 10 years for the preservation of tiger landscapes, which are vital to maintaining biodiversity, sequestering carbon, supplying resources to over 100 million people, and ensuring the overall health of our planet.

  • Happiness Capital Family Day

    September 12, 2024

    Organized by the Lee Kum Kee Group and the Lee Family, this event convened thought leaders, including Happiness Capital CEO Eric Ng, to explore the intersection of investment, well-being, and sustainability. Bhutan, known for prioritizing Gross National Happiness over GDP, was the ideal setting to discuss how mindful, sustainable entrepreneurship can enhance societal health and the Global Happiness Index.

  • Bhutan Innovation Forum

    October 1-3, 2024

    The Bhutan Innovation Forum showcased the country’s commitment to harmonizing tradition and modernity, particularly through the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) project. The forum featured discussions on sustainable development, the role of art and design in urban environments, and the importance of mindfulness in education. Bhutan’s unique approach to development, emphasizing Gross National Happiness and environmental sustainability, was highlighted, with the GMC project aiming to be a carbon-negative economic hub that integrates traditional Bhutanese values with modern technology and design.
